The Hope Webbing Mill is quite a milestone in the history of the American Industrial Revolution. The textile giant lives between Esten Ave and Main Street in Pawtucket. It was a major producer of narrow woven textiles from its beginnings in the late 1800’s through World War II, made famous by its innovations and sheer size. The complex of buildings gives the impression that it was built all at once. From 1889 to 1914 the Hope Webbing Company grew and became the mill we see today. It was once one of the largest in the world at the height of its success.
